Welsh Junior Squad 2013

We are pleased to announce that after a fantastic 2012 Junior Europeans and numerous top results in UK contests by Welsh juniors the Welsh Surfing Federation will be launching a Junior Squad Training program for 2013.

The aim of this program is to support Welsh juniors throughout 2013 with professional coaching and provide them with training plans to aid their future development.

Current Welsh & British Junior head coach Lloyd Cole will be heading up the program and had this to say about the future –

“Being part of Welsh junior surfing for the last 4 years has been a pleasure. I have seen young surfers mature as competitors and get well-deserved results in U.K and European contests. The depth of talent we have in Wales is amazing! From the under 12/16/18 boy’s, girls and longboarders, Welsh surfing is on its way back to the top. I’m looking forward to continuing my work with the WSF, being part of such a exciting program for junior surfers in Wales is fantastic.”

The squad will be announced by Jan 1st 2013, to be selected by a W.S.F selection panel.

More information will follow shortly..

WSF Membership
There have been some important changes to the WSF Membership that you need to be aware of. Check the Membership Form and you will notice the cost of membership has risen. Long story short we have now secured our own individual 3rd party insurance cover, in the past we have always done this through the BSA. Since that organisation is no more our committee has put in some long hours negotiating insurance exclusive to the WSF.
Not only will this insurance cover you for WSF events it will also cover you to free surf anywhere in the world (except USA and Canada). WSF membership is compulsary for those of you entering the Welsh Nationals this year but for those of you with no contest aspirations you can now get this insurance at a minimal cost through the WSF. If you accidentally park your 7'10" in someone's rear end next time your surfing a crowded peak the insurance will cover you for any costs that may head your way.
WSF Hoodies and T's

WSF Hoodies (£30) and T-shirts (£15) are now available for you to order, black and grey colours available at the moment.
Please email with your order and he will sort it.
